World Economic Forum Selects netomat as 2007 Technology Pioneer

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Dec. 4, 2006 - netomat, Inc. has been selected by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer. netomat is one of 47 Technology Pioneers selected from over 225 nominees by the world's leading venture capital and technology companies. The final selection was made by a panel of leading technology experts appointed by the World Economic Forum. All Technology Pioneers are invited to attend the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland from 24-28 January 2007.

netomat was originally conceived as a network based art project by Maciej Wisniewski and was seen by close to a million people in more than 80 countries. The company was formed to build upon the conceptual vision and underlying technology of the art project - with the goal of enabling people to be connected to the information and people they care about regardless of network, device or location.

For individuals the netomat hub (www.netomathub.com) offers the ability to easily "mobilize their content" and create their own interactive mobile home pages. For partners, netomat offers a platform enabling rapid deployment of a wide variety of content, communication and community services including rich media social networking, blogging, public/private groups, RSS syndication, messaging, presence, asset management, notification and polling - all of which work seamlessly across different mobile and web networks.

"We are pleased that netomat has been selected as a Technology Pioneer and that the World Economic Forum recognizes the importance of breaking down barriers to communication, enabling the free flow of information and providing both financial and social returns," said Alan Gershenfeld, netomat CEO.

To be selected as a Technology Pioneer, a company must be involved in the development of life-changing technology innovation and have the potential for long-term impact on business and society. In addition, it must demonstrate visionary leadership, show all the signs of being a long-standing market leader - and its technology must be proven. Previous Technology Pioneers include Autonomy, Cambridge Silicon Radio, Encore Software, Google, Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Napster.

"The competition to become a Technology Pioneer has been more intense than ever. It is evident that technology and innovation is playing a key role in the shifting power equation at a global level. Driving this shift is the tremendous amount of innovation taking place outside of traditional hubs. The wide geographic spread of this year's Technology Pioneers is a testament to this trend. We are pleased to welcome these exciting companies to our Community of Technology Pioneers, and look forward to engaging these industry leaders of the future into the community of the World Economic Forum," said Peter Torreele, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum.
